Jour soixante-cinq

...began with a renewed motivation to seize the day!
It's cold here, but we had to be brave (can't you tell?)
So after our morning happenings, we met up with Jess and Trish at le Pecq for the 1:38 train into Paris, took line 1 to Concord, then line 9 to Sèvres-Babylon where we beheld the extravagant Bon Marché, a rather grand department store. It, along with all the big stores, is decorated just lovely for the holidays, with lots of lights and gold and red everything (but you must not take pictures, or they'll scold you). We then went to the Grand Épicerie, which is the Bon Marché of food. It's like Dean & Deluca, but overwhelmingly large and filled to the brim with mouth watering exotic ingredients, that only the Iron Chefs would know what to do with.
After wandering around there for much too long, we made our way to the highlight of the evening, Repetto.
Repetto is apparently the heaven of ballet shoes where all the ballerinas want their slippers and point shoes from (I would know; I'm living with one). It was a magical place to be, especially because an Italian ballet team (crew? squad? what?) was there getting their shoes custom fit at the same time as us. Then we took a random metro and decided to get off at any random stop before heading home for the night. Un bon aventure! And a great day.

A demain,

b
