Jour soixante-un through soixante-quatre

...began with a normal Monday schedule of religion, followed by the always entertaining and delicious civ/cuisine class at Madame's and FHE, where we had to say bye to 3 of our favorite elders, explain a funny game all in French, and challenge ourselves not to eat too many refreshments. (success).

The next morning at 5:30 we had the wonderful privilege of going to Chartres, the finest and oldest Gothic cathedral in France.
We rescheduled this trip many times all for one purpose: this man.
Malcolm Miller, an old funny englishman who knows more than anyone about this building and it was worth it because we learned a lot from him.
This relic is, supposedly, part of the garment Mary was wearing when she gave birth to Jesus. We spent a few hours in this incredible building and then headed out to explore the small town surrounding it. To escape the cold and rain, we stopped in a cafe for lunch. I ordered the following.
We then headed to wait for the train home. These 2 kept me entertained, as usual.
A lovely day at Chartres, was followed by Wednesday. We began with our last museum visit for Art History to Musée d'Orsay. We then were able to go to another museum, the Orangerie, consisting of many impressionist works and photographs.
But then the power went out so they made us leave.

Shae and I went grocery shopping, then home, for our nightly routine: work out, dinner, and half of a Christmas movie to fall asleep to. (Tonight it was "While You Were Sleeping").
P.S. Film suggestions are welcomed. And here's as much as you'll ever see of our work out.
Thursday was a lazy, dreary weather day, so instead of facing the hurricane, we stayed indoors most of the day, until the weather cleared up momentarily and we headed to St. Germain for omelets for dinner, then came home because it started to storm again! The weather should be better tomorrow, permitting more adventures. See you then.

A demain,

b
