Jour quarante-cinq
HALF WAY
...began with the famous morning market in Sarlat. The pictures speak for themselves. It was completely charming.
We then enjoyed breakfast at the hotel and packed up to begin the days adventures.

Then came the good news. Our train home scheduled for that day was cancelled (thank you strikes!) Suddenly our trip became a day and a half longer, and the energy level of the group doubled because of excitement.
The next stop was Lascaux Cave, but first, the little town surrounding it. The day before, they held an accordion festival, and the whole town was lined with this colored tissue.
We were then able to visit Collonges-de-Rouge, a perfect little town built completely with red brick, where I would like to live someday.

That night we stayed at a hotel in Brive la Gauillarde. And when I say this, I mean, we were the only ones staying at this hotel. And as soon as we realized this...it was a party.

So this is the South of France trip! B, your pix are amazing. I'm so impressed with that little camera we got. Looks like the adventure continues. Love Dad
Ahhh! B, that view is probably one of the prettiest things I've ever seen, with the misty clouds and fields, holy cow.
Too bad you missed that accordion festival, bummer, but the tissue balls were cute too.
Your adventures look breathtaking and amazing, and I'm so glad you took Dead Annie to France, tis the season, after all.
Oh my gosh YAY FOR DEAD ANNIE! That looks like so much fun. Those pictures are amazing! Will you take me back someday and be the tour guide?? Loving the new coat BTW!
