Jour quarante-trois

...began soooo early at 4:45 (we're used to these early mornings by now). We got to the train station by 7 a.m. to catch the train to Toulouse, only to find out it had been cancelled due to strikes. Another one was scheduled to leave at 10, so Madame, being the lovely lady that she is and always trying to make the best of things, took us to Le Train Bleu for a very glamorous breakfast and a warm place to spend those next three hours.
Finally we were able to board for a six hour train ride. Despite this face, I really do love trains.
I feel that this table spread well represents our experience:
By the time we arrived in Brive la Guaillarde, and took a bus Carcassonne, it was pretty late. So we all walked to the castle from the hotel and basically played night games because we were the only ones there (a common theme through out the entire weekend).
Such a fun time, followed by dinner at a tiny cafe where I ate spaghetti for the first time in months. This day of traveling was totally worth it for the fun that was to come.

A demain,

b
