Jour trente-huit et jour trente-neuf
...began with a run to the morning market (pictures to come soon) and such a good, fresh, healthy lunch!!
Père Lachaise is le plus grand cimetière in all of France and was quite incredible.

Many people gathered around this grave to see James Morrison, who broke on through to the other side.
I was happy to finally meet this old friend after so many quality afternoons practicing his music...

Camera Wars

It's tradition to kiss Oscar Wilde's final resting place, so we had to do it.

We all went out for Thai food after. Pad Thai and I reunited. Finally.
Today:
After a really good day at church, Shae and I got to go to a contemporary art exhibit with Monsieur (our host dad). After, he took us on a driving tour of our picturesque little town. As soon as we got back, we showed Monsieur how to make hot chocolate (because he's been drinking coffee for too long and forgot) and we sat around the table dunking butter cake into our hot chocolate and discussing why the French don't ever turn on their heaters.
After dinner tonight, I had to conduct a facebook tutorial for Monsieur et Madame because they were so curious after seeing that movie (which is causing too much upheaval in my opinion). They realized how happy they were to be born in a generation without such confusing technology, and I realized how hard it is to explain the concept of "tagging" in French.
Meanwhile. Three reasons I'm most excited to go home:

A demain, perhaps.

Autumn in Paris looks absolutely amazing! I love all of your pictures-- keep them coming! I'm so glad you're having so much fun!
So pretty B! Love the pic at the bottom. You girls are hilarious.
Ah! So pretty and I'm always just so jealous of the food!
It's cute you helped Monsieur with fb, and so neat that you can speak so well, wow. I hope you talked to him in French while he fixed your doorknob too.
I don't know if loving cemeteries will ever be one of my hobbies..but who knows. If there were people like Chopin all over, I might change my mind.
Ber. I've just been creeping on your blog. You look wonderful. And so so happy.
And I'm lucky enough to have a class with Hillary this semester. I loooove herrrr.
Cool cemetery. They don't make head stones like they used to. Looks like you're having an awesome time B. We miss you in the states. Don't let the Frenchies rub off on you too much.
I'm so happy you went to Pere Lachaise - my favorite spot in Paris. I sang a song in middle school about that cemetery and was so excited when I was first able to visit It. I love cemeteries around the world -each culture's unique. (The song was Madame Jeanette, I think) xoxoxox
